CORPUS CHRISTI – The estimated 185,0000 Texas children with food allergies may now be better protected at school because a Corpus Christi mother took action. Working with State Rep. Todd Hunter, R-Corpus Christi, Jessica Davila-Burnett helped craft a law requiring public schools to request information regarding a child’s food allergies from a parent or legal guardian at the beginning the year instead of waiting for the parent to provide it. {read more}
